Tuition Fees and Costs
The 2017-2018 international student tuition fee for the undergraduate medical education program is $80,000 CAD (or $60,750 USD*). This amount excludes student activity fees and health insurance fees. You will also need to budget for books, living expenses, and other items. You can find out more about university fees here. Please note, there are no scholarships or bursaries available at this time for international students who wish to enroll in the School of Medicine.
International students registered at Queen's University and residing in Ontario must enroll themselves, and their dependents in Ontario, in mandatory basic health insurance through the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP).
The Queen’s University International Centre (QUIC) offers information regarding housing options to incoming Queen's international students and other community members. QUIC Housing Support provides resources to find temporary accommodation as well as off-campus housing for up to two terms, and to clarify housing terms.
QUIC offers online listings that assist Queen's international community members with their off-campus housing search. Students leaving for international exchange or other sojourns may use the listings to post their accommodation sublet prior to departure.
*This amount is based on current exchange rates. However, since exchange rates fluctuate, the stated exchange amount may increase or decrease. When applying, please confirm the exchange rate or contact our UGME office for more information.
